Browsers

This is to all the people out there that only use one browser. Its not a big deal necessarily, but each one is is a tool useful for so many different purposes. Opera is an all around powerful browser especially useful for older machines (most browsers out there are so new and fancy they tend to bog down older machines that can't handle too much). Safari is actually a browser I tend to use frequently for everyday activities, because it is very reliable on the web, and very rarely crashes (or as I have found it). I use Safari on my PC, so its not because I'm an avid apple fan. Firefox, on the other hand, I don't use frequently at all, because I find it severely unreliable, and doesn't perform well with any flash-based applications. I use Firefox for developing tools, because they are awesome, especially their ftp plugin, fantastic, so for me, Firefox is more a web design application than a web browser. Google's new browser Chrome is awesome especially for flash-based applications and watching movies and basically anything big you want to do, it is especially reliable for those types of activities. Internet Explorer is a fine browser, I don't care what anyone says. It may not be reliable all the time, but it has mastered bookmarks and favorites, and overall the interface of it is familiar and easy to use. Its a well design browser and I don't mind using it when I need to.

There are probably other browsers out there, but they haven't found their way into my PC yet, so if anyone has any other suggestions, let me know. But I thought this was a useful start for folks who are stuck using IE all the time. I do have a giant Firefox rant to go on sometime, but not meant right now.

Ich bin geboren!

I tend to find myself really turned off by anyone who sticks strictly to the anime style of drawing. Especially any American or anyone that isn't from some country who founded the type of style. There are so many people who draw that way folks, stop copying it and get your own style. You go to places like www.deviantart.com and other art gallery submission type sites and you will see a huge flood of these types of drawings, they are not unique nor professional. For folks who want to be illustrators, my advice is to avoid this style, let it maybe introduce you to the world of animation or illustration, but do not rely on it as a crutch, it will ultimately get you nowhere in the world of competitive illustration. Because honestly if I am turned off by seeing it everywhere, and I even like the style a small amount, imagine how normal folks who are not into the Anime scene will view your work? Don't worry about that actually, because they probably will never be viewing your work.
